Common Mistake

❌ ズボンを着ます (zubon o ki-masu) — This is wrong because 着ます is for upper body.

✅ ズボンを履きます (zubon o haki-masu) — Use 履きます for pants/legwear.

Also, remember that 靴 (kutsu) is already a plural concept in English ("shoes"), but in Japanese it's a singular noun. To say "a pair of shoes," use the counter: 靴一足 (kutsu issoku).
